Tourist center, 16kms
far from the capital, with a large and clean sandy
beach. Ageria is 2 km from Aliki where are the ruins
of ancient town in the bottom of the sea. It collects

AMBELAS
Ambelas is a small fisherman/s
village by the sea a few kms outside Naoussa. The
inhabitants are hospitable and they are fishermen.
There are beautiful traditional taverns where you
can taste fresh fishes and the island/s traditional

holidays, swimming clean beaches and good food must

DRIOS
A sea side district
in the green, water springs, sandy bays, 25kms far
from Parikia. Most famous in the beach Chryssi Akti
(Golden Beach) 1km long, where every year takes
place the world championship of surfing. The friendly
bay of Drios with its small port is very loved from
many people for its beauties. It has ideal beaches
for swimming and a lot of touristy installations,
its hinterland is very suitable for walks and also
the monastery of Saint George. Drios is Know

LEFKES
Built amphitheatrically
on hills, Lefkes, may be the most beautiful traditional
village of the island. It/s 11kms far from Parikia.
Little houses on the green hills, beautiful old
churches (of 15th and 17th century), ruined windmills
and pidgeon - lofts. The church of Saint Triadas
is of white marble with rare Byzantine pictures
and it is very beautiful. It has very clear helicoids
paths it is a village with many tree pins, olive
trees, almond-trees and eucalyptus. In Lefkes it
is very interesting the Laographic-Ceramic Museum
of I. and B. Kidoniati with collections of

MARPISSA
A picturesque village
built on a hill 18kms far from Parikia. The hill
of Kefalos, on the top of which are the ruins of
a castle built in 1500 and the monastery of Agios
Antonios (16th century) where there are ruins of
the Venetian Castle 10th century. Marpissa is connected
with villages Marmara and Archilochos (Prodromos).
The beaches Piso Livadi, Logaras, Punda, Chrisi
Akti and Drios Belong to Marpissa. At Easter And
and particularly on Good Friday, there is
the representation of the Holy Week, while on Easter
Sunday, the Love Feast unites all the visitors and
residents in a grand feast with roast lamb, local
wine, folk music and dance.
NAOUSSA
Naoussa is the pearl
of Paros and offers to its visitors history Antiquities,
archaeological monuments and places as the Acropolis
of Koukounaries, the island of Oikonomou, the ancient
tower. Between Naoussa and Ambelas, Myceanaen installation
in Ai Yianni, Deli in Filtzi and Kardagouri, is
the Venetion Castle (1836-1516) which concludes
the small fishermen picturesque port. There are
also, beautiful churches of 14th
and 15th century, Agios Athanasios, Agios Georgios,
the Catholic church etc. and the Byzantine museum.
In Naoussa take place the greatest civilistic activities
of the island with the festivals of Wine and Fishes
in the beginning of July and the night of corsairs

PARIKIA
Capital town and
port of the island, with the greatest tourist
traffic in summer. It maintains the Cycladic beauty
and it is build on the place of the ancient town.
In the center of Parikia there are ruins of the
castle and around to it the white little houses
with flowers, narrow streets, arcades and little
churches. The archaeological Museum, the Castle,
the Ancient Wall, the Ancient Cemetery, the Public
Building Sanctuary, the Delion, the Asklepeion,
the Ancient Workshops of Ceramics, the mosaic
floors, the Odeum or Nimpheon, the Boxy burials,
the three churches and the Ekatontapiliani of
Paros is one of the most illustrious Byzantine
monuments all over Greece. The names of Agia Helen
and Constantine the Great are closely connected
to it. It is unexceptionably an invaluable treasure
and all orthodox symbol that brings honor to our

PISSO LIVADI
A kilometer far from
Marpissa and 19kms from Parikia there is the picturesque
port of Piso Livadi, which offers high degree touristy
services built amphitheatrically around the pretty
and picturesque little port with view to the Aegean
sea, from which are boats sailing daily to Naxos,
Ios, Santorini, Mykonos, Delos, Amorgos etc. Basically
a Greek holiday center. The golden sandy beaches
run south for miles and there is a wide selection
of places to eat and drink Greek specialties. In
Piso Livadi takes place the feast of Ascension Day
with free sea food and local wine, and many happenings.
